Variations

If there aren't enough people for a line: two people can play by whispering back and forth through a wall or from separate rooms.
How it ends: whoever started gets to pick the next phrase, keeping the game rotating naturally rather than ending abruptly.

Pick phrases with tricky sounds on purpose — the more it can plausibly mutate, the funnier the ending.
