Kick a small, light box or an empty plastic bottle down the length of a hallway using only feet, no hands. Race in relay teams, tagging the next player to take over the kicking once the box reaches the far end.
What you need
- a lightweight box or empty plastic bottle
How to do it
- 1Mark a start and finish point along the hallway.
- 2Kick the box or bottle down the hallway using only feet, controlling it with small taps.
- 3Once it reaches the finish, tag the next player to kick it back the other way.
- 4Time the full relay and try to beat that time on a second run.
Variations
- If a hallway isn't available: any long clear stretch of floor works the same way.
- How it ends: a final full relay run with the fastest combined time closes the game.
💡 Parent tip
A soft, light box keeps this from turning into an actual soccer match against the walls -- weight matters more than it seems here.
What your child develops
- Foot-eye coordination — controlling an object with small kicks builds a skill most indoor games don't train
- Teamwork — a relay format requires timing handoffs and cheering teammates on
- Self-control — tapping gently enough to keep control, rather than kicking hard, builds motor regulation
Safety notes
- Clear the hallway of breakable objects and keep kicks low and controlled.
